--- Backstory ---Tali'a Zen, first born child and first son of Chieftan Tali Zen. Tali'a was born to the Zen tribe, a matriarchal tribe of Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te that reside deep in the Black Shroud.From birth, he was destined for greatness, at least as far as his mother was concerned. He picked up each of his manly duties quickly, and quickly mastered them. Sowing, upkeeping weapons and armor, cooking, refining raw goods into usable materials and other goods such as medicine. Tali'a learned the politics of the immediate area and his own tribe's relationship with other Miqo'te tribes. While Tali'a wouldn't have the chance to be a chief as he's not a woman, he is still a Zen child, and he must be ready to step in if anything was to happen to his mother.At the age of 10, and after 2 younger brothers were brought into this world, his mother gave up all hope of having a daughter. Tali decided to break many generations of tradition, and taught Tali'a how to fight. At first, no heads were turned as from time to time, some of the stronger men would be trusted with defending the tribe form rogue animals or bandits in the event the women were away. When Tali'a was ordered to join the hunting party things changed. While his fellow tribesmen admired him and spoke words of encouragement, the women no longer pursued him or considered him a viable partner. Some even considered him a freak.Tali'a had the chance to prove himself one day, as a large band of bandits fell upon their camp and started a surprise raid. He had no issue with taking up arms and fending off the attackers, turning the tide in favor of his tribe. he earned respect, the warriors and hunters of his tribe would sing his name afterwards. However, none would approach him, he was still seen as an undesirable man. And unless he wanted to be outcasted even more, he wouldn't dare approach anyone else.One day, he figured that he would just leave the tribe to explore the world. At first it was just for love.. but his priority quickly changed. The world was vast.. it was varied... it was beautiful... and it was begging to be discovered, calling out to be explored. And Tali'a? Tali'a wanted to answer that call. From the beaches of the Costa Del Sol, to the dunes of Thanalan, to the deeper forbidden parts of the Black Shroud, he would happily explore every inch of it.
